While I was growing up, my Father and Grandfather both owned jewelry stores. I spent a lot of time there watching them work. They were both watchmakers by trade and watching them build watches was very interesting to me.

I never really had much interest in jewelry as a child and even as a teenager. It wasn’t until I got older that I couldn’t stop buying it!  I was actually more interested in art. Drawing, painting, sculpting…but didn’t take time for it. Just too busy raising a family.  So, a few years ago, my daughter-in-law gave me tools for jewelry making as an anniversary gift. I really had no idea what to do with them, so I bought some how-to books and started playing! Soon, very soon, I found my artistic niche that I was searching for for so long. I started to create jewelry. As I wore it, I would get so many complements on my creations, that I made more and more! Soon I had way more than I would ever wear!!

So some friends and relatives encouraged me to sell. I heard about various venues to sell online and decided to jump in and try a few.  I sell here as well as on Etsy:  http://www.cinlynnboutique.etsy.com

The rest is history…..

  1. Just traveling thru your site now – looks great! How does one get their own site like this and how is it different than having your own web page? All the marketing and exposure, I assume, is on you, right?

    Bestest of Luck, Dini

Thank you Dini. My son has the host website. Mine is a sister to it. It’s hopefully, going to go better than Etsy. No listing fees, just he fees from PayPal when an item is sold. Yes the marketing and exposure IS on me, but I have been able to add plugins to help me along. Hopefully it’ll work out. Thanks for looking!
